BIG HONORS FOR DR. NAVIN NANDA

Dr. Navin C. Nanda, former AAPI President and Incorporator and Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Alabama at Birmingham was honored in a recent issue of American Society of Echocardiography   Magazine. He was featured for pioneering contributions in pediatric and fetal heart disease under the caption “Those Who Started It All in Pediatric and Congenital Echocardiography”. The article mentioned, “Dr. Navin Nanda   has been involved in many of the biggest advances in the field of echocardiography over the last 50 years”.

 Dr. Navin Nanda Echocardiographic and   Vascular Training Academy established in the country of Philippines in honor of Dr. Navin Nanda has recently taken the inaugural class of students. The Academy was initiated by Dr. Arnold Pasia from Philippines who worked as a trainee under Dr. Navin Nanda. He also named his son who was born in Birmingham, Alabama during his training as Navin Pasia out of respect for Dr. Navin Nanda. Navin Pasia recently graduated in medicine in the Philippines.
