AAPI PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION

A Legacy in Motion. A Future with Purpose.

“शुभारम्भ है आज का,
नव संकल्पों का संग है,
सेवा, समर्पण, नेतृत्व का ये रंग है।
धन्य है वो पल, जब कर्तव्य का दीप जलता है,
और मंच पर विश्वास का सूरज निकलता है।”

Translation:
“Today marks a sacred beginning, woven with new resolutions—
A vibrant expression of service, dedication, and leadership.
Blessed is the moment when the lamp of duty is lit,
|And the sun of trust rises on this honored stage.”

Tonight marks a sacred beginning—one that’s not only about taking oath, but about embracing purpose.

This stage is illuminated not just by lights, but by the commitment of every physician who’s journeyed with faith, resilience, and passion. With this new chapter, we honor our heritage, step forward with courage, and vow to lead with integrity.

Distinguished guests, respected seniors, cherished colleagues, and dear friends,

Standing before you today is both a humbling moment and a profound privilege. As I take this oath to serve as President of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, I do so with the deepest gratitude and the highest commitment—to the values we cherish, the community we represent, and the future we must shape together.

AAPI is more than an organization. It is a testament to excellence—a tapestry woven with stories of resilience, talent, and dedication from physicians across generations who’ve carried their heritage with pride and practiced medicine with compassion.

From the wisdom of India to the innovation of America, we embody a unique fusion—a legacy of healing that transcends borders. Today, as healthcare faces global challenges, our voice must be stronger, our advocacy bolder, and our unity deeper than ever before.

As President, I pledge:

  • To uphold transparency, ethical governance, and accountability.
  • To elevate AAPI’s visibility on national and international platforms.
  • To nurture talent, inspire youth, and honor the pioneers who built this path.
  • * To champion causes that matter—not only to physicians but to the communities we serve.

Let us remain rooted in empathy, driven by collaboration, and guided by purpose. Let our disagreements be thoughtful and our unity unwavering. Let us prove that leadership is not found in titles but in actions.

To all those who paved the way for us, I offer my heartfelt salute. And to those walking with me into this new chapter—I say: Let’s build. Let’s lead. Let’s heal.

So today, as we stand at this turning point, let this not be the end of a ceremony—let it be the ignition of a purpose.

A purpose that carries the hopes of those who came before us…

The strength of those beside us…

And the dreams of those we’ve yet to serve.

I do not take this oath as a title—I take it as a torch.

To light the way with integrity. To lead not by command, but by conviction.

And to remind every physician in this room… that our greatest power is not in our degrees,

But in our compassion, our courage, and our collective voice.

Together, we are more than a community.

We are a movement. We are a promise. We are a legacy in motion.

“Ilm se roshan hai rahein,
dard se roshan hai dil,
Hind ki mitti saath hai, jisme Amreeka ka hosla bhi mil.”

Translation:
Our paths are lit by knowledge, our hearts by compassion—
We carry the soul of India, and the courage of America in union.

Thank you. Jai Hind.

God bless America.

And may AAPI always stand… not just for physicians—

But for progress. For purpose. And for people.
