The AAPI – YPS is a national organization that will promote the professional, political and social goals of young Indian American physicians, today and in the future. This working document will be following the guidelines of AAPI bylaw and be governed by AAPI bylaws.

Article III – Executive Committee
Section 3.C.i. Executive Committee Elections Nominations

Nominations may be submitted by any member of AAPI – YPS. The callfor nomination will be sent to the YPS members by the YPS President byDecember 31st. YPS President-Elect will be part of the Nomination Committee.
Section 3.C.ii. Executive Committee Elections Rules

The Executive Committee Elections and Nominees will follow all the rules of the National AAPI elections as per the AAPI bylaws.
Section 3.C.iii. Executive Committee Elections Requirements

All nominees must be active members in good standing and within seven years of practice.
Section 3.C.v. Executive Committee Elections Term Requirements

Executive Committee Officers’ Term is for one year. All Executive committee members must attend fifty percent of all meetings including the WMCWinter Medical Conference and must attend AAPI National Convention in order to receive credit for their year as EC member.

Serves in the AAPI Nomination Committee and the AAPI convention finance committee.
Section 3.C.III.b.v. Vice-President Duties

Serves in the AAPI membership committee and helps AAPI Vice-President in maintaining the AAPI YPS database. Also serves on the AAPI convention selection site committee.
Section 3.C.IV.b.viii. Secretary Duties

Assists the AAPI elected Secretary in their activity.

Works closely with the Treasurer of AAPI.

Will serve on the AAPI nomination committee.
